A Binghamton man is facing charges of manufacturing meth after he fell asleep behind the wheel of a car and crashed into a snow bank. New York State Police found Cody McNeilly asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle around 6:35 Wednesday morning. The vehicle was stuck in a snow bank along Collins Street in Whitney Point. After a search of the vehicle, police were able to find items used to make meth, along with a small amount of the drug itself. McNeilly is facing charges of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs, both misdemeanors. He was sent to the Broome County Jail, and the investigation is ongoing.
