A Windsor woman that went to pick up a friend at the Broome County jail ended up being charged with drunk driving. 48-year-old Stacey Stafford drove to the jail Tuesday afternoon, and when she began speaking to a corrections officer about picking up the friend, the officer detected that she was intoxicated. The deputy found Stafford minutes later in the parking lot, and she failed sobriety tests, and also was found to have a suspended license. She is facing a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation, along with other DWI-related charges. She was kept at the Broome County jail.
