New York State Police have arrested two young men in connection with the Windsor home invasion on February 19. 20-year-old Jessie Angevine, and 17-year-old Caleb Harris, have been arrested and charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony. Both men are from Windsor. The two men are accused of breaking into the home of 56-year-old Kenneth Birdsill on State Route 79 and taking prescription medicine and cash. Birdsill said the amount of cash they took was around $80. Birdsill said one of the men knocked on his door asking to use his phone. He let him use the phone and the man left. He came back 10 minutes later, knocked again, but this time, punched Birdsill in the face repeatedly, according to Birdsill. Another man then took an icicle and hit Birdsill over the head. Birdsill said they then held a knife to his throat and demanded drugs and money. According to Birdsill, the medicine they took was pain killers. Angevine and Harris were arraigned in Windsor Town Court and remanded to Broome County Jail pending grand jury action. The investigation is still ongoing.
