Festivities for the Tioga County Fair will kick off this weekend with the New York Sire Stakes.
The Sire Stakes will be held on Saturday at Marvin Park with post time set for noon. This event is free to the public.
The Farmers Market will also be open from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday at the fairgrounds.
The Tioga County Fair will run from Tuesday, Aug. 11 through Saturday, Aug. 15th.
Opening day will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 11th at the Tioga County Fairgrounds in Marvin Park. There is no cost on the first day of the fair.
A parade will be held at 11 a.m. with an open dairy show from 3 to 6 p.m. and square dancing from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will be fan favorite events including a demolition derby, a rodeo, tractor pulls and much more.
Visitors can also enjoy rides, games and tons of great food.
