Tioga County Public Health has teamed up with Tioga Opportunities to complete 119 Healthy Neighborhoods Visits from July 17 – July 27. These visits include checking for things like working fire detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, and replacing those that no longer work properly. Public Health employees are also checking for trip hazards in the apartments and indoor air quality, especially for those with asthma. Residents are given a “goody bag” with a variety of different things including non-slip shower mats, cleaning supplies, a Tioga County Resources Guide, and a personalized Healthy Neighborhood cup to help keep them hydrated all summer long.
