A fire in Apalachin last night left significant damage inside a home. A structure fire was reported just before 5 p.m. at 55 Glann Rd., while the house was unoccupied. The Apalachin Fire Department arrived on scene minutes later and shut down the road. Other nearby crews rolled in until dusk to help extinguish the fire inside the residence. The fire was under control about two hours later. Authorities said the cause is currently under investigation.
