A manufacturer in Berkshire received a grant worth hundreds of thousands to help expand its business. Tioga Hardwoods received a check from NYSEG on Tuesday morning worth $230,000. The money will help offset the cost of the company’s new kilns, saws, and stacking equipment, and will also help increase the company’s production by about 500 tractor trailer loads of lumber each year. In the past four years, NYSEG has invested about $40 million in economic development in upstate New York.
