A former dance instructor from Waverly has been found guilty of sexual assault in Tioga County Court. 39-year-old Julie Werkheiser was convicted on two counts of predatory sexual assault yesterday. Prosecutors said she committed sexual acts with two children under the age of 13 between 2006 and 2007 while she worked as a dance instructor for Studio J Dance Studio in Waverly. Werkheiser was sent back to the Tioga County Jail to await sentencing. She is facing 20 years to life in prison.
