Multiple villages across our area are having a difficult time finding individuals to run for trustee positions. In the Village of Waverly three trustee positions are up for election, however, only three individuals are running for village trustee, which means they will be running unopposed.
In the Village of Nichols, no one is currently running for an open village trustee position, which means that the person elected will be determined by write-in votes. The upcoming elections have been scheduled for March 15th. If you have yet to register to vote, there is still time. You can register to vote through the NY DMV’s website, or the New York State Board of Elections’ website.
