In the longest day of jury selection so far, four more people are seated as of last night, in the third Cal Harris murder trial. Approximately 80 people reported to Schoharie County Court Monday morning. By the lunch recess, more than half were excused due to hardship. After the first wave of potential jurors, three people were picked: one woman and two men. During the second round of possible jurors, 13 people were questioned. One more person was seated on the jury just after 7p.m. At least four more people need to be seated on the jury before the trial can officially get underway. It is up to the judge to decide how many alternates he wants to seat, two or four. Jury selection today has been postponed because of the weather. Selection is slated to continue at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
