The Owego Kiwanis Club held their 51st Annual Radio Day this weekend at the News Radio WEBO studio.
The Kiwanis Club took over the station all day on Saturday with their own original programming and advertising, raising over $10,000 which will go back to the community for youth activities. From 10:00 to 4:00, each hour had a separate theme for the day, with an hour dedicated to talking about the Key Clubs of Owego Free Academy and Candor High School, a slap-stick hour full of jokes, and a Blues Hour featuring some classic and some newer blues hits.
In addition, the Kiwanis Club set up a food donation location in front of the studio, where they collected food for the Tioga County Rural Ministry.
