A Newark Valley man has been arrested for holding a woman against her will, and endangering the welfare of a child.
27-year-old Randy Cottrill Jr. was arrested by Tioga County Sheriff’s Deputies after allegedly disabling the residence’s telephone while a female subject attempted to dial 911 for help. He is also accused of restraining the female as she attempted to leave–by pinning her between a door and jamb, while in the presence of two children.
Cottrill was arraigned in Newark Valley Town Court, and was remanded to the Tioga County Jail on $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond.
He is due back in court on April 9th.
