A Nichols man has been arrested following an alleged stabbing incident which took place at the Owego Beer Garden on the rooftop of Tioga Trails at the corner of Lake and Main Streets in Owego. In the early morning of Saturday, just hours before the Strawberry Festival continued downtown, 25-year-old Shane Walker was allegedly involved in a stabbing incident in which one victim had to be taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre with serious injuries. The victim, whose name has not been released, had to be transported by medical helicopter, which was able to land in Marvin Park. Walker is being charged with assault in the second degree , a felony, and was arraigned in the Village of Owego court. He was sent to the Tioga County jail on $20,000 bail. The investigation is continuing and further details are expected to be released once the investigation is complete.
