A month after a devastating fire took everything they owned, the Butlers are in the process of rebuilding with a little help from the community. A benefit to raise money for Rick and Jess Butler, and their two daughters, was held at the Owego VFW yesterday. The spaghetti dinner and auction attracted more than 100 people. There were even piggy banks for donations for the family’s two young girls. The community has rallied to help the family restructure their lives after everything they worked for was gone in a matter of moments. The family said they’re overwhelmed by support they’ve received from family, friends and even strangers.
