Lockheed Martin Demonstrates F-35's Interactive Cockpit

Lockheed Martin in Owego held a demonstration on Monday of their F-35 Lightning II interactive cockpit. Local officials, including Congressmen Tom Reed and Richard Hanna, were on hand for the company’s demonstration, which highlighted the F-35’s role in protecting national security. Aviation Systems Vice President and Owego General Manager Dan Spoor spoke about the economic impact of the F-35 program for New York.
Congressman Hanna spoke about the importance of having companies in the Southern Tier, like Lockheed Martin, to continue the focus on advanced technology and engineering.
Congressman Reed also spoke glowingly about the work ethic and resolve of workers not only at Lockheed Martin Owego, but also across the entire area.
The F-35 is the world’s most advanced military aircraft. The U.S. and its allies have invested in its development for over a decade.
