One major employer in our local area has been named a StormReady supporter by the National Weather Service. Lockheed Martin of Owego was awarded this program which aims to help communities establish storm preparedness. Under this program, Lockheed Martin will now need to conduct community readiness programs, as well as create a 24-hour warning point. This special recognition must be renewed every 3 years.
