Lockheed Martin in Owego has been awarded a more than $13 million contract from the Navy. The contract extends a previously awarded contract for the upgrade of data and software systems of MH60R helicopters. Lockheed Martin will be working on improving the ability of the helicopter to transmit data from its sensors and provide more information about the battle field to military commanders. The work is expected to be completed in June of 2015.
