Lockheed Martin has announced that nationwide layoffs will be taking place over the next few months. It is still unclear on if or how this will affect employees at the Owego plant. The company first plans on allowing workers to voluntarily leave through a voluntary layoff program. After that, involuntary layoffs will be held.
