More information has been released on the vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident which occurred in the Village of Owego on Wednesday. The Owego Police Department says that 32-year-old Joshua Brown of Owego was driving south on North Avenue when he struck 59-year-old Gene Johns, also of Owego. Johns was transported to the hospital by the Owego Emergency Squad. Brown was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, arraigned in the Village of Owego Court, and then sent to the Tioga County Jail on $2,500 cash bail, or $5,000 bond.
