Changes are coming to fire department coverage assignments in the town of Owego. The Owego Fire Department and Emergency Squad will stop providing service to residents outside of the village of Owego on July 1. According to a notice sent out by the fire department, duties of emergency services for town residents will be divided between the Campville and Owego Southside fire departments. A new station on Route 38 will cover the north-west section of the area left behind by the town of Owego’s expiring contract with the village.
