Major leaguers open spring training in Florida and Arizona this week. It’s not likely to be warm and sunny in the Southern Tier but the upcoming baseball and softball seasons are still on the minds of local players and coaches. Owego Little League is getting ready for the season with registration on the organization’s new website at www.owegolittleleague.com … click on registration in the menu area. New this season is a spring training program from 1030 am to noon Sundays at OFA by registration for players ages 9 to 12. Registration is also open for the annual coaches and players clinic. This event for players ages 8 to 13 is scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm this Saturday.
