There was a power outage in the Village of Owego for about an hour beginning around 1 o’clock on Wednesday. A power pole had been sheared in half, resulting in the power line and transformer being down. The Owego Police Department and the Owego Fire Department had to man the intersections in the village while they waited for the traffic lights to regain power. Drivers were manually directed during the outage at the intersections along Main Street, Court Street, Front Street, and North Avenue.
