Owego, Newark Valley, and Endicott are just a few of the local beneficiaries of $40 million in Restore New York grants. The Village of Owego has been awarded $500,000 for a gateway project in the historic district, while the Village of Newark Valley will receive $100,000 to demolish a former ladder factory. The Village of Endicott has been awarded $440,000 to tear down a property on Madison Avenue and construct a parking lot in its place. Their award will also be used to rehabilitate the former Broad Street Elementary School into a building that can be used by other businesses.
