A Sayre woman is accused of evidence tampering following a rollover accident last month on Route 17 in Owego. When troopers arrived on the scene, they found that 22-year-old Ashley Best had thrown items with marijuana in them into the roadway to keep them away from the police. The accident involved just the one vehicle and no injuries were reported. Best is now being charged with a felony count of tampering with physical evidence, along with a misdemeanor count of obstructing governmental administration, and a violation for the marijuana.
