The third murder trial for a Tioga County man is delayed. Cal Harris’s murder trial was tentatively set for October 7th, but now the Tioga County Court said there is no officially scheduled date for the trial. The District Attorney’s Office said the trial is delayed because the defense has motioned to move the third trial out of Tioga County. Cal Harris has been released on bail. He is accused of killing his wife, Michele, in 2001. Her body has never been found. Since his arrest in 2005, Harris has had two trials and two convictions overturned on appeals. It is still unknown where the third murder trial will be held, or if it will remain in Tioga County. It’s also not known who will be prosecuting the case, since former DA Gerald Keene has been elected Tioga County judge.
