Over 10,000 NYSEG customers lost power yesterday in both Owego in Newark Valley. While no official cause for the outages has been released by NYSEG, unofficial reports say that NYSEG crews were working at Lockheed Martin when the power went out. Lockheed Martin had to be temporarily shut down while the issue was worked on. Most power was restored within a half hour, but NYSEG worked until about 5:30 Tuesday to fix any issues.
