A head-on collision on North Avenue in the Village of Owego yesterday afternoon left one adult and two children seriously injured. The accident happened around 6:30. A blue SUV was heading southbound on North Ave. near the Kwik Fill at Dean Street and crossed into the opposite lane, hitting a dump truck head on. The driver of the dump truck, Benjamin Henry, was able to stop the truck before the crash occurred, he was unharmed. According to the fire chief, two child passengers in the SUV and their babysitter, who was driving, were seriously injured. They were transported to Wilson Hospital. Henry says he was on his way back to Scranton where he lives, and was driving the truck as a favor to its owner.
