Town of Owego Supervisor Donald Castellucci has announced that both the Town and Village of Owego is working together to build a shared facility. The facility will be located behind the current Owego Town Hall on Route 434 in Apalachin. Supervisor Castellucci says that this project is being funded by a total of $6 Million from the New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program between the Village and Town of Owego.
The money comes as part of an effort to move local governmental facilities out of the flood plain. The new facility will house the Town of Owego’s Highway Department, the Village of Owego’s Department of Public Works, as well as Owego’s parks and sewage offices.
