And, while trick or treating will occur as usual in neighborhoods throughout the area, the third annual “Trunk or Treat” event will be held again tonight at the Owego Free Academy parking lot on Sheldon Guiles Boulevard. The event features a well lit, traffic free, supervised environment for children of all ages to trick or treat. Participants are encouraged to decorate their cars, trucks, and trunks just as you would your home, dress up in costume if you like, and bring your kids in costume to trick or treat from trunk to trunk. The event is free. Cars must be parked in place and decorated by 6pm. Cars will then have to stay in place until 8pm so that there is no moving traffic, keeping it safe for trick or treaters.
