Upstate Shredding has announced yet another acquisition of a metal recycling facility. The latest purchase by Upstate Shredding is Eastside Metals & Recycling Corporation in Fort Ann, New York, in the Glens Falls area. As with most of the purchases by the company, it was an all-cash transaction and is expected to close within 60 days. The purchase marks the 17th Weitsman location. Eastside Metals & Recycling was opened in 2003 as a recycled auto parts vendor before growing into the region’s premier full service scrap metal recycling and auto part center. The Weitsman group will be beautifying the location with landscaping, new fencing, and renovation of existing facilities, all while keeping the staff of over 20 employees. The location will be renamed Ben Weitsman of Kingsbury.
