The Village of Owego Board of Trustees are expected to continue discussions about budget-saving measures at their meeting tonight. At their last meeting, the board discussed dissolving the village court next year, changing the elected clerk/treasurer position to appointed, and making the village police chief position part-time. All of those items are on the agenda again for tonight’s meeting, which will begin at 7pm at 20 Elm Street. This will be the first village board meeting since Police Chief Karen Vinti announced her retirement. We will have full coverage of the meeting tomorrow morning on WEBO.
