Wagner Lumber of Owego has started rebuilding their facilities after they burned down on February 16th of this year. Owner Les Wagner says that the new facilities will be state of the art, and could increase productivity by 25 to 50 percent. Some of the workers who had once worked at the Owego facilities have been commuting to Wagner Lumber’s other saw mill in Nineveh, New York, where the company added an additional shift to accommodate the increased work load. The new saw mill in Owego is planned to be up and running by July of next year.
