A teenager from Lockport is dead after a head-on collision in Tioga County on Friday night. Michael Dmochowski was driving south on Ithaca Road in Spencer when he
drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on into Gary Holmes of Spencer. Dmochowski was pronounced dead at the scene. On Saturday, an autopsy showed the cause of death was severe head trauma and hemorrhaging due to a car crash. The autopsy showed alcohol and drugs were not a factor. Holmes was sent to Robert Packer Hospital by ambulance for foot and ankle injuries. New York State Police Troop C Collision Reconstruction Unit was sent to the scene to reconstruct the fatal collision. The investigation is ongoing.
