The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce handed out their Spirit of Tioga Community Awards last night. Sister Mary O’Brien of the Tioga County Rural Ministry received this year’s Community Service Award. The Raymond-Hadley Corporation in Spencer was named best business, while the Owego Kitchen was named best new business. The awards were given out during the chamber’s annual dinner at Tioga Downs. This year’s theme was “You Can Do It” and attendees were encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the Tioga County Rural Ministry.
