Tioga County could be seeing 164 new jobs coming to the area. Crown Cork and Seal has been looking to build a manufacturing plant in Tioga County, but was unsure whether or not they actually would until a recent deal with the Tioga County Industrial Development Agency. In this agreement, Crown Cork and Seal was granted reduced property taxes for the next 30 years. It’s expected to cost around $132 million to build the plant on excess land near the Best Buy Distribution Center.
