Tioga County is getting a new director of economic development and planning. Doug Barton is retiring. He’s held the position since 2003. LeeAnn Tinney has been selected for the job. She’s currently the Business Administrator for the Tioga County Industrial Development Agency. As Business Administrator, she is responsible for assisting the Board of Directors in a diverse range of functions including budgeting, financial reporting and management, administration of the County’s Payment-In-Lieu of Tax/PILOT Program, revenue reporting, and revolving loan fund administration and management. Tinney has been a county employee since 1996, and recently served as the mayor of the village of Nichols.
