Tioga County Tourism revealed the results of a year-long study on Thursday. Throughout 2013, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based research company gathered information on the county, with the goal to find unique characteristics to draw more visitors to the area. Some of the main draws for Tioga County included Tioga Downs, the riverfront in Owego, and access to the river in general. The study found that lodging revenue in the county has also been on the decline since the flood of 2011, going from $7 million that year to $4.7 million last year.
