Several witnesses took the stand yesterday in day two of testimony in the murder trial of Douglas Every. Every is a Tioga man accused of killing his housemate Milton Jump in Oct. 2013. Investigator Wayne Moulton with the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office interviewed Every after the murder occurred. The videotape of that interview was played for the jury on Monday. During the video, Every told law enforcement “He [referring to Jump] started coming at me.” He also said, “I just didn’t want to get hit again.” Dr. James Terzian of Lourdes also testified and shared Jump’s autopsy report. If convicted of the second degree murder charge, Every faces 25 years to life in prison.
