This morning Senator Fred Akshar will announce that he has secured $185,000 in the state budget for the expansion of the Joseph P. Dwyer Peer-to-Peer Veterans Support Program. The grant is administered through the Broome County Office of Veterans Services, who selected Clear Path for Veterans to provide the service. With the funding expansion to $185,000, Clear Path will be able to extend their services into Tioga and Chenango County. Senator Akshar will also announce $15,000 in funding for the Legal Aid Society of Mid-NY to provide legal services and consultation to local veterans in the community.
