Residents in the Waverly Central School District will head to the polls today to vote on the school’s second budget proposal. Some of the new features of this proposal include no increase in the tax levy for this coming year. The district will also close the Chemung Elementary School which will eliminate several support staff positions. No additional employees will be hired and equipment purchases will be reduced. Voting is being held in the lobby of the Waverly High School from noon until 8pm today.
