Waverly School District Board of Education member Matt Talada has resigned from his position on the board, effective immediately. Talada was part way through his second year in a five-year term. He cites increased responsibilities in his job at BOCES as well as stresses in his personal life as the main reasons for his departure. The school board must now decide if it will leave the position open, appoint a member, or hold a special election for the remainder of this school year. An election WILL have to be held next year to fill the now vacated position.
