Officials say an Ithaca man was airlifted to the hospital after falling and hitting his head Thursday.First responders were called to the scene on South Cayuga Street just after 1 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man on the sidewalk who was bleeding severely from his head. The Ithaca Fire Department says the man may have fallen from his porch and landed on the sidewalk.He was helped by paramedics and firefighters at the scene until he could be flown to a trauma center in Pennsylvania for treatment.Officials say he has a severe head injury, but there’s no word on his condition.
