Ithaca Police say a man was stabbed while trying to force his way into an apartment on West Spencer Street early Sunday. Police say 33-year-old Tarrant Sheppard of Brooklyn was stabbed in the abdomen around 4:30am Sunday while trying to force his way inside an apartment on the 200 block of West Spencer Street. Sheppard was found by police a few blocks away and treated at the hospital. He is now at the Tompkins County Jail without bail. The residents of the apartment have not been charged.
