Early yesterday morning, the Ithaca SWAT Team served two Search Warrants in the city of Ithaca. One warrant was served at a residence on East Falls Street and the other was served at a residence on Linn Street. Inside one of the residences officers located the target of their narcotics trafficking investigation, 26-year-old Jonathan Sanchez, along with 4.5 ounces of crack cocaine and a .22 caliber rifle. Sanchez was transported to the Ithaca Police Department for booking. Sanchez was arraigned in Ithaca City Court on two counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and a misdemeanor Weapons charge. Sanchez was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
