The Vestal School District and its teachers union have agreed to a tentative contract after more than two years of negotiations.
For the past two years, Vestal teachers have picketed after school as they looked for a new contract.
The teachers were able to get improvements in retiree health insurance as well as more sick days and a four percent raise over four years.
If accepted by the Vestal Teachers Association, the school board will vote next week on the contract.
