The New York State Department of Transportation will continue construction on Interstate 86 near Owego this summer.
This year’s project will begin with work on the Exit 65 west bound off ramp beginning on Wednesday.
The off ramp will be closed during the construction. Once that work is completed, the Exit 65 westbound on ramp will be closed.
Upon completion of the west bound construction, the process will be repeated at Exit 65 east bound, with that work expected to begin in September.
During construction, detours will be posted at Exits 64 and 66, providing travelers with direction and routes of travel.
