The Sayre Police Department is investigating an incident where a dog was stabbed last week.
According to Sayre Police, the stabbing occurred at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday on Center Street in Sayre.
The dog was reportedly chained to the front porch of the home when it was stabbed. The dog survived the attack.
Police are searching for a man described as being in his 60s with grey hair and wearing a grey shirt and khaki shorts.
A witness reportedly observed the man in the area with a knife in his hand before the incident.
Police are asking individuals and businesses to check their security cameras from around the time of the incident.
