The Sayre Borough Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the shooting incident which occurred on Packer Avenue near Robert Packer Hospital on Friday. 33-Year-Old Justin Holloway of Sayre was arrested and taken to Robert Packer Hospital for a mental health evaluation. The nearly ten hour incident started Friday morning when police received reports at around 10:30AM of a suicidal man in a residence. Once on scene, authorities were notified that Holloway had both a sawed off shotgun and an improvised explosive device, or IED. Police evacuated the area surrounding the residence, and the nearby hospital was put on lockdown. At around 5PM state police arrived on scene and made entry into the home with an armored vehicle. At 8:33PM Holloway was taken into custody without incident. The Pennsylvania bomb squad was called in to take care of the bomb. Upon his release from the hospital, Holloway will be charged with several crimes, including: terroristic threats, prohibited offensive weapon and unlawful possession of weapons of mass destruction.
