Hundreds of people crowded the streets of downtown Sayre to take part in the 58th Annual Valley Halloween Parade. The theme of this year’s parade was “A Scary Little Halloween.” The Athens Area High School marching band with their Ghostbusters decor won the award for the “largest uniformed” entry. Also receiving awards from Saturday’s parade were the Spalding Memorial Library for “most original;” a horsewoman with a flag for “most patriotic;” and Kelly Kinsley riding a horse with a tutu for “best costumed horseman.” This year’s parade was sponsored by the Sayre/Athens Lions Club and the Sayre Recreation Commission.
