Howie’s Pizza and subs of Sayre is opening back up, nine months after the building was destroyed by fire. Yesterday was the official ribbon cutting for the newly built restaurant owned by Waverly fire chief Don Howard. He invited surrounding fire departments back to the restaurant to celebrate Howie’s re-opening after they responded to the fire on November 20th of last year. The building features a new 24 foot pizza bar, but the original Howie’s recipes remain the same.
